This is certainly true for Buoyant and the climate venture industry more broadly.

Our name, Buoyant, implies resiliency and optimism, as we head into this new year and another change to absorb, we are living up to our name.

Allison Myers, co-founder and General Partner, has transitioned out of Buoyant and is taking some time to recharge her batteries as she charts next steps. She has been an incredible co-founder who took on any project or task needed to get our first fund raised and our firm launched.

Allison’s leadership was critical in building processes and infrastructure for the firm. In addition to providing unending support and partnership to Amy during fundraising, she also led some of our earliest investments.

She built our research efforts and was a capable manager and mentor for our broader team and MBA fellows. We consider the research platform she developed to be a superpower of the firm, allowing us to see around the corners of climate trends and helping to proactively source deals.

Of her many skills, she was able to quickly problem solve and add value to our portfolio companies with strategic insights, commercial introductions, and advice to our founders. 99% of life is showing up, and Allison more than showed up for Buoyant, our LPs and our portfolio companies.
